Important limitations

Cofacil can help clients communicate more clearly and prepare effectively. However, we do not present Cofacil as a substitute for an authorised family solicitor in court proceedings. We do not promise to obtain custody, financial orders, injunctions or any particular court outcome.

Where court proceedings, urgent protective orders or specialist family-law advice are required, the client will be advised to obtain assistance from an authorised professional.

When specialist advice is needed

We recognise that family matters often require specialist legal advice. Where a matter requires a family solicitor, mediator, financial adviser or other specialist, we will explain the limitation clearly and help you identify and instruct the appropriate professional.

Discuss your family matter

If you are facing a difficult family situation, we can help you understand the options and prepare for the next step.
